
Our SCANN staff are dedicated workers who love and care for our children. The House Fathers/Mothers ensure the children are clean and well dressed and the cook ensures they are well fed and get a balanced diet. The teachers ensure the children excel in their studies.

Our SCANN children love football and the Board of Trustees offers them every opportunity to enjoy themselves provided they first concentrate on their Education.
Like in all other aspects, The SCANN Football team has also excelled.
During the year, our under 15 Team reached the Quarter Finals in the Rift Valley Provincial Tournament. In the under 17 Provincial Tournament, SCANN have emerged champions for the last 3 years. In the Inter-homes Tournament, SCANN have held the Championship Trophy for the last 5 years.
Our thanks to their Volunteer Coaches and to Yasmine for providing Snacks, Refreshments and Transport for every match.
The SCANN Team consist of 24 Boys and was started almost 2 years ago. They have participated in several training courses organized by the Provincial, National and E.A. Karate – Do Federations. Ten Boys have been upgraded to Yellow Belt, Three have recently been recommended to Upper Yellow Belt and One (George Njuguna) has been graded to Grade 5th KYU – Green Belt. Our Karate Team has participated in various Provincial and National Tournaments and have done remarkably well.
In the Rift Valley Province Individual Championships SCANN Boys George Njuguna & Bernard Kibet were awarded 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in the Kumite Junior Category.
In the Kata, SCANN Boys George Njuguna & Elijah Kimani stood 1st and 2nd position respectively.
In the Rift valley Team Championship, the SCANN Team was awarded 2nd position and was awarded a Silver Medal.

The SCANN Acrobatic Troupe consisting of 36 Boys, divided into three categories, is the Pride of SCANN.
The Troupe has entertained Guests visiting our centre, at our Fund Raisings activities and has also performed and delighted past President Moi and President Kibaki too.
The SCANN Acrobatic Team is arguably the most talented in the country and all the SCANN children enjoy participating in and watching the Acrobatic Team.

A SCANN Cricket Team was formed 2 years ago – Thanks to the Kenya Cricket Association who sent us Coaches and some equipment.
The 14 Boys Cricket Team regularly participates in matches, and in December 2004, 3 SCANN Boys were selected in the Provincial Team.
