Obituary
Key Donors

Nazmi, Altaf and Rajvi Gilani passed away on the 21st of December 2003 following a tragic road accident on their way to Nairobi from Nakuru.

Nazmi was a founding trustee of SCANN and served on the board from 1998 until his demise. He was always willing to assist in the day to day activities and took care of all the repair work at the centre. Always generous with his donations to SCANN and various other charities and needy individuals, he loved to see the children excel in whatever they did.

Altaf, son of Mohib and Yasmine Gilani was an extremely bright, spirited young man. Caring, considerate and charitable, he fully supported his mother’s untiring efforts in the day to day activities of SCANN. He was always there when the children needed him and contributed greatly in all fundraising activities.

Rajvi, having been married to Altaf only 12 months to their tragic departure, is greatly missed by the SCANN family. She spent many hours every week teaching Arts and Craft to the children and she was the backbone to our SCANN “greeting card industry”.

All our 140 SCANN children join us in praying for their souls to rest in eternal peace- Amen.
